Sachin Tendulkar was honoured with the Order of Australia by Australia's Minister for Regional Australia, Simon Crean. The 39-year-old became the second Indian after former Attorney General Soli Sorabjee to get the honour. Tendulkar is the fourth non-Australian cricketer to receive the honour, the other three being Brian Lara, Sir Garfield Sobers and Clive Lloyd.
